Does anyone here know what strings McGuinn uses on his 370/12? Having a hard time
locating strings around here for my 360/12, so will order once I know what's best.

I don't know what McGuinn uses now, but I recently did a string change on my
360/12 and I used Pyramid Golds. A lot of Ric players recommend them.
They're pretty expensive (I paid around $30) so be warned.

I had tried a number of different sets in the past, and was mainly concerned
with intonation up on the higher frets. (My Ric still has the original
6-saddle bridge.) The Gold set is unusual in that the wound strings are
flat-wound (yep, just like the strings Jazzers use). Anyway, the payoff for
me is that the octave strings are a little more prominent than with "normal"
wound strings, and also the intonation is almost perfect for everything but
the low-E pair.

No matter what brand you decide on, make sure you get a set with the wound G
string. One of the sets I tried was an Ernie Ball set with a plain G
string, and the intonation of that G pair was horrible. I've read that you
need a wound G string to get it right.

Anyway, that's my $0.02 for what it's worth.

Your 2 cents are right on the money. If you go to Roger's web-site:

you will see the logo for Pyramid Gold on the front page.

Well, I'm usually not one for celebrity endorsements. I bought the Golds
mainly out of curiosity and was willing to toss in a few extra bucks to see
what the fuss was.

Wound up buying the last 2 sets that my local music store had. They said
they probably wouldn't get more because the demand was low. Good thing I
did; I really like them and I'd want another when it comes time to
re-string.

It's not a question of celebrity endorsement. The original question
was "what does McGuinn use?". You now have the answer.
