Boy,

Once I convinced myself that a Rickenbacker was the 12-string I wanted,
I learned that they are difficult to obtain.

Any leads or hints would be greatly appreciated

I don't know if Mike has one right now, but if I were you I would definitely
keep my eye on:

His prices are great and his service can't be beat.

I also convinced myself that the 660/12 was the 12-string that
I wanted after owning a 360/12 for a couple of years.

I got a 660/12 Mapleglo from Mike that was delivered a month ago
(my second RIC from Mike) and I agree with the endorsement.
I like dealing with him and I love the guitar.

However, it may take time. I put my deposit in with Mike
back in January '05 on a guitar he ordered in December '04.
So for me, it wasn't "difficult" to obtain, it just took patience.
Of course, now that I have one, I could be persuaded to sell
it for $20K, so "difficult" is just a matter of perspective.

In the meantime, I have a '98 360/12 Fireglo that's for sale for
a far more reasonable price.
