Could someone confirm for me please, what a 1980 model 4001 would be made
of? It's a 4-string in Azureglo.

Maple all - except parts (wings?) of the headstock which I believe are
walnut, and the fretboard which is rosewood.

All maple with a walnut "skunk stripe".

The skunk stripe is Shedua and the fret boards are Bubinga. They haven't
been rosewood since the mid sixties!
