But he's got a point, the Danoes could become very valuable in the not so
distant future. I myself bought a Dano baritone a couple of years ago with
the same thing in mind (well I did need it for a project at that point).
Although Jerry Jones makes a great version of it, the Dano is the original
and could get the vintage stamp at some point which could make them go from
3-400 dollars (I paid 350, I don't know what they are now) to a lot more.
Ask anybody about Fenders/Gibsons reputation in the 70s (bad, bad, bad) and
still they are becoming very much in demand now. I bought a 77 tele 10 years
ago for 400 dollars (I live in Denmark so it's actually 3500 kroner). 2
months ago I was offered 4,5 times that amount just because it's old. It's a
pretty good guitar but I don't think quality has a lot to do with the whole
vintage thing.
