number of frets, humbuckers ald electric say out.

4004Cii has better body wood and more color choices.

I have a Cheyenne I and a Laredo. The main functional difference is in the
placement of the neck pickup. The CI pickup is almost flush with the neck,
while the Laredo pickup is about an inch away. Other than that, the Cheyenne
series has generally featured a "natural" appearance using oiled walnut,
etc. while the Laredos are mainly painted. My Cheyenne has a natural maple
neck through the body, oiled maple fretboard and dark oiled walnut for the
rest of the body and for the "wings" on the head stock. My Laredo is high
gloss Midnight Blue with a clearcoated rosewood fretboard. Also, the
Cheyenne has all gold plated metal parts (tuners, bridge, etc) while the
Laredo metal is chrome.

Thanks guys for the replies. i have really never had any experience
with either, but seeing the line[s] have been dropped, I was wondering
why they wern't sellers?

They look like good instruments to me.

I don't think the lines have been dropped. At least, you can still order the
CII or the Laredo.

You can check them out here: http://www.rickenbacker.com/
