Any comments from the Rick experts? Personally, I think it's a cool
instrument but I would prefer the bass neck on the bottom. Were they made
either way or was this the standard? In any case, it's a real eye-catching
piece.

It looks very nice!
I've never seen one with the bass on the bottom. This is the standard
configuration.
I believe most of them had 12 string guitars but this one is certainly no
more of a special order than any other 4080.
That said, I have never seen one in Burgundy-Glo before.

Well, I'm an idiot.
Mike has a picture of a Burgundy-glo 4080 on his site. (It is sold, though)

So... I HAVE seen a BG 4080 before.

I agree Winston, they are not all that rare, BUT they don't usually come up
for sale that often.
There is one 4080, in Mapleglo, with dot position markers on the bass neck
that I would love to get a hold of though...
